Damerey Fic Challenge - Double Drabble
Prompt: Grievous
“I need you two to go to Kalee for me,” Leia told Rey and Poe after asking them both to her office.
“What’s on Kalee?” Poe asked.
“Kalee is the homeworld of Qymaen jai Sheelal,” Leia continued. “Better known to the galaxy as General Grievous.”
Rey nodded. She knew about Grievous thanks to Luke’s additions to the Sacred Texts.
“Grievous had a habit of taking the lightsaber of every Jedi he killed and keeping it as a trophy,” Leia said. “It was rumored Obi-wan Kenobi killed him, but there was no documentation because the Jedi Purge began almost immediately afterward.” She shrugged. “Apparently, his nephew Dhilnaen, has taken on the ‘hobby’ of lightsaber collection, and after the purge, begged, borrowed, or stole every lightsaber he could. I need you to try to get them back.”
“What do you plan to do with them?” Rey asked.
“I’d like to keep them safe until we can set up a proper memorial for the Jedi,” Leia answered. “I think the Grand Temple on Yavin would be a perfect place,” she added, looking at Poe.
“What if he won’t deal with us?” Poe asked.
“Beg, borrow, or steal, Dameron,” Leia said with a smirk.
