“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the live stream of the red-carpet premier of No Surrender! I am Kaydell Connix.”
“And I am Beau Kin! I think I have been looking forward to this night for a long time, Kay! How about you?”
“Oh, you know it, Beau! This movie has been creating buzz now for months. Some are even bandying about the word ‘Oscar’.”
“And that would really be no surprise considering the star power behind this feature! In fact, here is one of those stars now! Stepping onto the red-carpet looking as exquisite as always is the director of No Surrender, Leia Organa-Solo.”
“She is appearing as usual with her husband Han Solo. It’s amazing to think that these two met on the set of the first movie Leia ever directed over thirty years ago!”
“Ah, yes. Scarecrow. Han was her star and he even earned an Oscar nod for that movie, proving what an amazing team they were even at the start of her career.”
“Leia this evening is wearing a beautiful navy colored velvet dress designed by Madonna Torben, with a stunning 14K white gold teardrop diamond necklace by Bruce Jewelers.”
“Kay, she is on fire tonight, that’s for sure! And here is someone else who is on fire! Poe Dameron has arrived!”
“Poe’s performance in No Surrender has already got people talking about an Oscar nomination. It would be his first one, though many argue that he should have gotten one for Another Day in Paradise.”
“That was indeed an unbelievable performance, Kay, but I have to say, I think this one is even better. We saw this film in a private showing last night and if he doesn’t get nominated, I will be absolutely floored.”
“No Surrender is magnificent, Beau. I have yet to see a movie that can combine so much realistic action, drama, AND romance all in one setting.”
“And from what I understand, the tension on set was almost as intense as it is in the movie, with a lot of bickering going on between the two stars.”
“Leia definitely had her hands full, from what I heard!”
“Poe is arriving solo tonight, and in fact has not been seen in the company of a partner since his break-up with actress Zorii Bliss over a year ago. Rumor has it he is dating a non-celebrity and is keeping things on the down-low.”
“Whoever she – or he – is, they are a very lucky person.”
“Yes, it’s no secret you’ve had the hots for Dameron for a long time, Kay!”
“Who doesn’t have the hots for Poe Dameron?”
“Very true! Poe tonight is wearing a spectacularly fitted tuxedo by Venus Woodward.”
“And fitted is the key word! He is not as tall as many actors today and he is often referring to other assets that make up for his lack in height. Very nice assets if I do say so myself.”
“You just did say so! But let’s not get too out of control here, because Rey Skywalker just arrived and Oh – My – God! Look at her!”
“Just like her co-star, Rey is arriving solo tonight. Or should I say, without Solo?”
“Kay, you are too much! But yes, Rey is currently ‘off’ with her on-again-off-again boyfriend Ben Solo, Leia and Han’s son. In fact, she hasn’t been seen in his company for well over a year, though by all accounts they are still good friends.”
“Well, if you ask me, she doesn’t need a date tonight, because she is absolutely devastating on her own. That red dress is fantastic! This beautiful one-shouldered faille gown was designed by Sonia Loggins, and her matching stiletto pumps with the sparkle are by James Wong.”
“And the only jewelry she is wearing are those fabulous bezel-set diamond drop earrings. She looks absolutely amazing!”
“Much different than the character she plays in No Surrender, that’s for sure. Her tough as nails army pilot can take on any man, including the Sargent she gets caught behind enemy lines with!”
“Portrayed, of course, by Poe Dameron. Speaking of which, it looks like Poe has been captivated by his lovely co-star as well. He’s making his way over to her as we speak.”
“Obviously the crowd wants pictures of them together and it looks like they are going to get their wish. And is it my imagination, Beau, or is that smile on Rey’s face looking a little devilish.”
“Well, maybe we’re about to find out if their on-set relationship was as volatile as some say it was. No, it looks like they are going to play nice and pose for the cameras. My, do they make a stunning couple!”
“They do indeed! Oooh! That look Poe just gave his co-star. Beau! Did it get hot out here?”
“Wait, what is he doing? He’s… it looks like he’s getting down on one knee!”
“I… I don’t believe it! He’s pulled a jewelry box out of his trouser pocket and he’s opened it! I’m not close enough to see what’s inside, but the flash is telling me it’s sparkly!”
“And Rey’s expression says it all! I think her face has turned as red as her dress. Kay, it appears he’s doing exactly what it looks like! You can see him mouthing the words: Will you marry me?”
“O – M – G! I can’t breathe! He’s really doing it! He’s proposing marriage on the red-carpet! I can’t believe this!”
“And she’s saying ‘yes!’ She’s nodding her head and smiling that great big smile of hers!”
“Poe is slipping the ring on her finger now and his smile is as big as hers! Oh, my! What a night! This is the real deal, folks!”
“I guess that explains why they haven’t been seen with anyone else for so long! I can’t believe they managed to keep this a secret! Oh, look at that hug! This is indeed the real deal!”
“Here come Han and Leia back up the carpet. I have a sneaky suspicion they knew what Poe was going to do; they look happy but unsurprised!”
“Oh, what a magical night! You saw it here, folks! Poe Dameron just proposed marriage to Rey Skywalker at the premiere of their new movie No Surrender.”
“And she said YES!”
