The Back Corner

The four times Rey and Poe almost kissed in the back corner of the bookstore and the one time they did far more than that.

Day 6 – Damerey Week Rated NC-17 for Explicit Sexual Content

Prompts: Bookshop AU, Almost Kiss, Indigo, Write a Story in Five Parts

Oops! Where did that smut come from?

“Hey, Rey?”

Rey Skywalker gave the customer she had just helped one last parting smile before turning her attention toward the back of the store. Rey had owned Books ‘N Things for just over two years now, and Poe Dameron had been a regular customer for almost that long, but she still rolled her eyes at his shout. Any other customer would just walk back to the front of the store to ask her a question, but not Poe.

Glancing around to ensure she hadn’t missed anyone else walking through the door while helping the last customer, she rounded the counter and headed for the back corner.

Books ‘N Things was located in one of the older ‘strip mall’ developments, and because of that the space was not square. The area that had once been a washroom and was now used for storage created an indent along the back wall of the store, and the shelves lining the walls made the ‘back corner’ a tight space. Its location, off to the side of the store, meant that the person at the counter couldn’t see back there. Rey had often considered getting one of those anti-theft mirrors so she could see the area, but it wasn’t a big store and people had to pass the counter to leave, so stealing was a rare thing. Besides, some people liked the sense of being alone while they perused through the hundreds of used paperbacks.

She stopped at the end of the row of books, looking down the aisle at Poe. “Yes, sir?” she asked. The sarcasm in her voice was impossible to miss.

Poe glanced at her, the corner of her mouth quirking up. “You got any Clive Cussler books?”

Rey felt her eyebrows go up. “That’s a new author for you,” she said. Rey knew the tastes and reading habits of her regulars.

Poe shrugged. “My dad recommended him.”

Rey smiled. Kes Dameron stopped by on occasion, usually to drop off books for credit. Credit he always put on his son’s account. Not that Poe needed it.

“Well, you’re not going to find him back there,” Rey said, her smile turning wry.

Poe was staring at one of the shelves. “Why are there so many damn romance novels?”

The romance section began and the mystery section ended in the back corner. The romance section was a lot bigger. Rey shrugged. “What can I say?” she grinned. “Sex sells.”

Poe turned his head to look at her, his eyes narrowed. “Do you read them?”

Rey walked toward him, glancing at the shelf of romance paperbacks. “Heather Graham, Jude Deveraux, Nora Roberts, and my all-time favorite Justine Davis.” She pulled a book off the shelf, well-worn and a bit battered. “She’s been my favorite since I was in High School. So much emotion you cry, but super steamy sex scenes, too.”

Poe had moved closer to her as she talked, looking down at the book in her hands. “And which do you like best? The emotion or the sex?” His voice was soft, and she looked at him in surprise, not realizing he had moved so close.

She swallowed, glancing down at his lips as she did so. Why did he have to be so good looking? Not to mention sweet and smart and… he wasn’t taken. Not anymore. She had heard that he had broken up with Zorii over a month ago. Licking her lips, and very aware that his gaze dropped to watch, she told him, “In my world, you can’t have one without the other.”

His eyes met hers again and she felt herself leaning toward him. She felt his breath on her lips and her eyes drifted shut.

The bells above the door jingled and Rey jumped back away from Poe, her eyes open wide now. He looked just as startled, but then his expression turned thoughtful.

She cleared her throat and turned to move quickly back up to the front of the store. As she greeted her new customers, she realized she still held the book she had pulled in her hand. She set it on the counter and watched as the two women who had entered began to browse. What the hell? Sure, she had been crushing on Poe Dameron since day one, but he was so far out of her league. The fact that he had become a friend of sorts due to his frequent visits to the store, and with her friend Finn dating his friend Rose connecting them even more, she had never envisioned anything other than a familiar acquaintanceship with him. He was a freaking surgeon, after all. She owned a tiny little used book store on the seedy side of town.

It was only a few minutes later when he came up to the counter, a small stack of books in his arms. She smiled as she pulled up his account on the computer and went through the stack, but she didn’t meet his eyes. Suddenly, he reached forward and grabbed the book she had taken off the shelf during their talk and added it to his stack. She gave him a surprised look.

He shrugged. “I wanna see what all the fuss is about,” he said softly. There was a strange look in his eye, one that made her uncomfortable… but also excited her.

She bagged the books and handed them to him. He took the bag, and when his hand touched hers during the transfer, he paused, waiting until she looked up at him.

“Until next time,” he whispered. And then he was gone.

Emotion and sex. Is that why her heart was racing? Not to mention the embarrassing dampness between her legs. Damn, if he could do that to her with just a whisper… she was in so much trouble.

*****

Rey was going through the shelves, methodically adding the ‘new’ books in her arms into their appropriate slots. She tried her best to keep everything organized well enough that people could find what they were looking for, without it becoming as formal as a library. While she did have all the books itemized in her computer system, which allowed her to tell people who were looking for something specific whether or not she had it, she didn’t have the books labeled with anything other than the bookstore’s official stamp.

She was almost done when she heard the bells above the door jingle. Immediately, she turned toward the front with a smile on her face. That smile almost died a quick death when she saw who it was.

Zorii Bliss was the anchor of their local news station and somewhat of a celebrity because of it, but Rey rarely watched the news, local or otherwise. She knew Zorii as Poe’s ex-girlfriend, and from what Rose told her, the break-up had not been kind. Rey had never seen the woman in her store before, though she had met her on the one rare occasion she and Poe had been at the same affair, a charity event for the local therapeutic horseback riding program. She remembered how delighted Poe had seemed when he had spotted her. He had come to talk to her, and while doing so Zorii had wandered over and insisted he introduce them. Poe had seemed uncomfortable then, and Rey suspected their relationship was not well. Less than two weeks later, Rose had told her they had broken up. “It’s about time,” she had added. “The woman is a bitch.”

The way Zorii had looked at her that night, as if she was some dangerous animal that needed to be watched at all times when around Poe, made Rey feel defensive and antagonistic. If she had run into Zorii at any other time, she would not have been afraid to ignore her, but this was her business. She had worked hard to achieve a positive status in the community, and she had a reputation to uphold.

“Hi, there!” she said with a bright smile. Time to remember her theater training from school! “What can I do for you?”

The woman looked around the store, her eyes narrowed. “I didn’t realize this was a used book store.” She said the word ‘used’ as if it was a synonym for ‘shit.’

Rey kept her mouth shut, maintaining her smile as best she could. “Are you looking for something specific?” She moved behind the counter so she could access the computer should the woman give her a book title.

Zorii seemed to consider her question, then moved to stand opposite Rey. Rey couldn’t help but study the woman. She was beautiful, her green eyes standing out thanks to her perfect use of makeup, her hair styled flawlessly, her clothing probably worth more than Rey’s store made in six months. She was shorter than Rey but carried herself with an air of competence that Rey envied.

“Poe comes here a lot, doesn’t he?” she asked Rey, a slight smile on her perfectly tinted lips.

Rey swallowed. “Yes, he does,” she said. “Why?”

“I remember you from the Suncatcher party,” she said without answering Rey’s question. “I know he’s a voracious reader, but I always wondered why he would come to a bookstore all the way on the other side of town. Now I know.” She paused. “Poe is quite taken with you, isn’t he?”

“Poe and I are friends,” Rey said quietly, her hackles rising.

“Of course,” she said with a sly smile. “I just thought I should warn you. Whenever we’re on a break, he tends to find someone to entertain him until we get back together. I have suspicions you might be next on his list.” She tilted her head at Rey. “I don’t want you to get your hopes up. Or your heart broke.”

Rey stared at her for a while. Then she started laughing. “Are you serious? You’re here to warn my off your ex?”

Zorii leaned back a bit in surprise.

“Oh, lady,” Rey said, suddenly not caring about being polite anymore. “You don’t know me. And I don’t think you really know Poe, either.” She picked up the few books she had been carrying when Zorii came in and started back around the corner. “We are both adults and we both know exactly what our relationship is, which is none of your business.” She continued to where she had been when the woman had walked in. Just the idea that Poe would use her in that way was humorous. Not only did she know he wasn’t that kind of person, but he wouldn’t choose her even if he was.

She moved to the back corner, hearing Zorii’s shoes click toward the door and the bells above jingle. Then she heard a man’s voice. Poe? She stopped to listen. She couldn’t hear what they were saying, as they were outside the closed door of her shop, but she could hear their voices raise so she knew it wasn’t a pleasant conversation. Eventually, the jingle sounded again, and Rey slipped the last book, a romance, into its spot.

“Rey?”

“Back here,” she responded to Poe’s call. He appeared at the end of the aisle, his expression worried.

“Are you okay?” he asked as he walked toward her. “What did she say to you?”

“She warned me not to get involved with you while you were on hiatus from her,” Rey said with more than a little snark.

Poe stared at her for a moment, his mind obviously processing what she had said. Then he started laughing.

Rey smiled, too. “I know, right?” She shook her head. “As if.”

His smile faded. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

She looked at him. “First of all, I don’t think you’re on a ‘break’ from her. Second, you wouldn’t choose someone like me to keep yourself occupied for the duration.”

His mouth dropped open and he stared at her. Suddenly, he straightened up and folded his arms in front of him. “You would be right about it not being a ‘break.’ I’m done with her for good.” He frowned. “But you’re wrong about the second part.”

Rey looked at him in surprise.

“Someone like you, as you put it, is exactly what I would be looking for.” He moved in closer to her. “However, it wouldn’t be for something temporary. I don’t do temporary. I worked for more than three years to make things work with Zorii, and when I finally concluded it was never going to happen, it was still hard to let go. But I’m done, now. I am more than ready to find someone much more compatible. Someone with an actual heart. Someone strong and level-headed, but still idealistic. Someone who doesn’t even know how drop-dead gorgeous she is.”

He inched closer and closer to her as his spoke, his words getting softer and yet more intense. She felt her body heat up, and her breathing quickened. He was in her space now, and oh how she loved him there. He smelled amazing, and she realized how much she ached for his touch. She licked her lips, knowing he would focus on the gesture. When his eyes met hers again, they were darker than she’d ever seen them. She squeezed her thighs together, her body immediately responding to his heat and his scent. His lips parted.

The door jingled.

Rey jumped back. “Excuse me,” she whispered, then she sidled past him, letting her arm brush his as she did so. Her skin tingled, and she felt his gaze follow her. As she moved to greet her next costumer, she heard a whispered curse behind her.

******

There was a decent number of people in the store the next time Poe stopped by. She had actually seen him since the last time, the day he came in behind Zorii. She had been invited to Finn’s for dinner and both Rose and Poe had been there as well. It had been a pleasant evening, with lots of laughter and a warm sense of belonging that Rey thrived on. She and Poe had not been alone together at any point in the evening, but she was often aware of his eyes on her, intent and questioning. She had slipped out after saying her farewells, not meeting his gaze, part of her terrified he would follow her, the other part hoping he would.

He didn’t.

But he was here today, casting her his familiar grin as he walked through the door. She watched as he wandered the store, and she could tell he was waiting for the rest of the customers to leave. When she finally checked out the last one, she looked over at him expectantly, her eyebrows raised.

He looked at her with a soft smile on his lips, then said, “I need a present for Rose.”

“You want to give Rose a used book for her birthday?”

He gave her a side-eye. “I know you carry some rare stuff.”

She did. It was something she had only started to do a few months back. A college friend of hers who ran a rare book store had helped her out when a customer had asked about a First Edition copy of Richard Adams’ Watership Down. Rey had loved the idea of partnering with Kaydell and helping each other seek out and stock other old and rare books.

Rey tilted her head at him and walked back to the glass case behind the counter. “I don’t have that many in stock, and I don’t know what she might like, but if you have an idea then I can maybe find it.” She pulled a set of keys out of the cash drawer and opened the case. Poe walked over to stand next to her as they looked down at the books that were visible through the outside front window of the store. “What does she like?” She was very aware that Poe was standing so close that his arm brushed hers.

“She’s a huge Mark Twain fan, I know.”

Rey looked at him. “Kay just got a First Edition of The Prince and the Pauper,” she told him, excited. “But it’s not gonna be cheap.”

“How much?”

She sighed. “Probably around $3000.”

He didn’t look shocked. Instead, he nodded. “You wouldn’t tell her how much it cost, would you?”

“Poe?” Rey whispered.

“What?” he asked, his eyes wide. “Are you going to tell me that’s a little excessive for a friend? You do know I’ve been friends with her and Paige since we were kids, right?”

Rey felt her heart swell. Granted, she knew he was wealthy, but to spend that kind of money on a gift…

“You get a percentage of the sale, I’m assuming?”

She nodded. “Of course,” she whispered.

“Then order it,” he told her. “Her birthday is in two weeks. Can you have it by then?”

She nodded again, this time silently.

He gave a soft laugh. “Rey? Are you okay?”

“I guess I’ve never seen you flaunt your wealth before.”

“Flaunt?” he asked, startled. “By quietly buying my friend a gift?”

Rey felt her face heat. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it like that.” She cleared her throat and stepped back from the case, closing and locking it. “I’m just not used to being reminded that you’re rich.” She put the key back and moved around the counter, suddenly nervous.

He followed her, his expression serious. “Does my being rich upset you?”

“It doesn’t upset me,” she told him, turning to face him. “I’m just not used to rich people being…”

He cocked his head. “Being what?”

“Nice.”

He gave a soft laugh. “Well, thank you. I guess.”

“Why do you come here?” she asked suddenly. “A cheap used book store on the opposite side of town from where you live and work?”

“You haven’t figured that out yet?”

She swallowed nervously, knowing what he was implying. “You were dating Zorii up until a couple of months ago,” she argued.

“And did I do anything inappropriate during that time?”

She shook her head. “No, but…”

He sighed. “I like Finn. And I like you. You’re both good for Rose. And for me.”

“So… you consider me a friend?” she asked.

“Of course,” he said softly back.

Rey nodded sharply. Maybe she was reading way more into this than necessary. She turned and headed back to the romance section. “How did you like the Justine Davis book you got?” she asked.

“She’s a good writer,” he told her as he followed. “But I thought her hero was a bit… obsessive.”

Rey laughed. “Yeah, he is in that particular book. Not all her heroes are like that.” She stopped in front of that author’s books and pulled out a copy of her favorite. “Her real-life husband died of cancer,” she told Poe as he came up behind her. “She stopped writing for a while, and when she came back you could feel the difference in it. The smut was a lot tamer. She even wrote one book where the couple never had sex. In fact, they didn’t even kiss until the last chapter.” She turned to face him, unsurprised to find him in her bubble. She looked at him in the eye. “The sexual tension in that book was off the charts.”

He stepped even closer, bringing his face up next to hers. “All in anticipation of a simple kiss?” he whispered in her ear.

She nodded, feeling her cheek brush up against his. His beard stubble rasped gently against her soft skin. She could already imagine it doing that in other, even softer, places.

She felt his breath behind her ear and she shivered, closing her eyes. “Poe,” she breathed.

“Yes?” he breathed back just before his lips touched her skin. She jumped slightly, the book she had been holding slipping from her fingers, and then couldn’t stop the soft moan that escaped when she felt his tongue. His hands were on her hips now, gripping her firmly and pulling her into him. She felt his hardness through their jeans and couldn’t stop her hips from rocking into his as she gripped his elbows. He groaned against her neck, then pulled back, his nose bumping hers gently as he brought his lips closer.

The ringing of Rey’s old fashioned rotary phone was horribly loud and Rey couldn’t help the startled shout as they both jumped in response. She started laughing and Poe joined her, though his “Goddammit” was heartfelt.

“I’m sorry,” she said as she slipped from his embrace and headed for the phone.

By the time she was done with the call, another customer has arrived.

******

Rey had gone to the Gallantly Forward Gala with a bit of trepidation, but she had been invited by a former coworker and had always wanted to attend, so she put on her brave face and went. The Sargent Colton Levi Derr Foundation had been created by the father of the Foundation’s namesake after the young soldier had committed suicide. The goal was to help raise awareness of the impact of PTSD on members of the military and encourage those suffering to seek help, either through advocacy, financial support, or counseling. Rey had supported the organization from the beginning, as she had known Colton personally, but tonight was the first time she had attended the gala.

She felt more than a little out of place, but she had been told over and over again by Finn that she looked great. She had chosen an indigo blue cocktail dress for the evening, not wanting to look too formal, but wanting to still ‘dress up.’ It had a plunging neckline that was far lower than what she was used to and a flowing skirt that came to just above her knees. She wore strappy heeled sandals and had her hair pulled back into two tight French braids (courtesy of Rose, who couldn’t attend the event due to work), but despite Finn’s assurances, she still felt out of place.

Until Poe looked at her.

When he first noticed her, his eyes had widened almost comically, then a bright smile had taken over his face. Even though he was all the way across a room full of people, Rey suddenly felt as if it was just the two of them. He moved across the room, his eyes scanning her from head to toe, and she suddenly felt overheated. He stopped before her, casually acknowledging Finn. “Glad you could make it,” he told them. “You look amazing,” he said to Rey.

She smiled shyly at him. “Thank you.”

Finn had been looking back and forth between them with a disgruntled look on his face. At Poe’s words he huffed. “I’ve been telling her since I picked her up how beautiful she looked and she tells me to shut up. You come walking over looking at her like that and she thanks you.”

“A girl never believes her brother when he tells her she’s beautiful,” Rey told Finn with a laugh.

The rest of the night flew by as they ate dinner, then watched the conclusion of the on-line silent auction. The items being sold were far too costly for her, but she was unsurprised when Poe ended up the highest bidder on two of the pieces, one a painting and the other a sculpture.

As the night went on, Poe continued to spend most of his time with her and Finn, introducing them to friends and acquaintances, helping them feel comfortable among the elite crowd. Rey was laughing at something funny that Finn said when she felt her phone vibrate in her purse. Casually, she pulled it out, excusing herself. When she looked at the screen, she immediately answered.

Glancing up as she talked, she noted that while Finn was still chatting with an older gentleman, one of their local politicians, Poe was watching her with a concerned look on his face. He nudged Finn, getting his attention, and the two came over to join her at the side of the room.

“What’s wrong?” Poe asked.

“Someone tried to break into the store,” Rey told them.

Within minutes, they had grabbed their coats and headed out of the event center. Finn drove her straight to the bookstore and Poe followed. There was a police car already there when they arrived; Rey had given the security company permission to call them when she had talked to them.

The door handle was broken off, but the security guy thought that the deadbolt was still solid. As Rey unlocked it, she agreed with him, but he insisted she look throughout the store anyway to make sure no one had gotten in. She moved around the counter, ducking down behind it to check the safe underneath first. Everything was still there. As she looked around the store, she saw nothing amiss. Poe and Finn had been talking with the security guy and the police officer, but Poe eventually walked in as she moved toward the back of the store.

“You don’t have security cameras, do you?”

“Not inside,” she answered Poe. “There’s one outside.”

“Yeah,” he responded. “They’ll check that one out tomorrow when they talk to your landlord.” He followed Rey as she wandered toward the back corner. “Finn says he can fix that door handle tonight; he went to grab some tools.”

Rey huffed a laugh. “Mister Fix-In Finn.”

“Yeah.” Poe’s voice was soft as he stopped behind her. He placed his hands on her shoulders. “You’re shaking.”

She shrugged. “I’ve never had anything like this happen before,” she told him. “Even though no one got in, I still feel violated.”

He squeezed her shoulders. “I get it,” he told her. “But you’re okay. The store’s okay.” He lowered his hands and wrapped his arms around her waist, resting his chin on her shoulder. “It’s going to be okay.”

Rey closed her eyes and leaned back into him, taking deep breaths and letting her body relax. Poe’s arms tightened, and she felt him press his nose against her neck underneath her ear. “You smell fucking amazing,” he whispered.

His words made her giggle softly, but they also sent a shiver up her entire body. That feeling only intensified as he began to kiss her neck, his tongue gently laving her sensitive skin. His hands began to move over her, smoothing along her belly and over her hips. He pulled her back a bit, pressing his own hips into her, and she felt the unmistakable hardness of his arousal against her buttocks. Almost instinctively, she rubbed her ass against him. They both groaned. One of his hands moved downward, his fingers softly pressing against her cleft through her skirt. Rey moaned again. The feeling of her lower body being caught between his hand and his growing cock excited her, and she felt a wave of moisture flood her core.

“Fuck, I want you,” he breathed against her neck.

Rey brought her arm up to wrap around the back of his head and turned her own head toward him. She felt his lips on her cheek, and she twisted more, determined to kiss him.

“Rey? Poe?”

Immediately, Poe dropped his arms at Finn’s voice and Rey stepped out of his embrace, taking a deep breath. She turned to find Poe looking as frustrated as she felt. Biting her lip to keep from laughing, she slid past him, gently running her hand down the front of his slacks as she did so. He groaned softly and closed his eyes. Rey continued by him, ready to stall Finn until Poe could collect himself.

Someday, she thought. Someday they would finish what they started in that back corner.

******

It had been a very busy day. While Rey had a couple of part-time employees and often took Saturdays off, today had been a rather big day in the area thanks to a block party/fall festival held at the park across the way. Her store and the other businesses in the two strip malls had benefitted greatly from the event. Rey had finally sent Beau home just an hour ago; it was rare indeed that she needed two staff members in the store at one time, but they had been so busy, with Beau checking people out and Rey looking up books, some of them rare, for customers, she had been glad she asked him to come in and help. She had even ordered in three rare books for people; Poe had apparently spread the word.

It was finally closing time, and though Rey had been extremely happy for the business, she was even more happy for the work day to be done. Poe was coming to pick her up for their first official date. He had asked her out the night of the break-in, but their schedules had been so busy since then it had been hard to find the time. Poe had told her to dress casual, but she had still worn a cute little sundress, telling herself she had to look good for the customers coming over from the block party, too.

At exactly five, she locked up the register and moved around the counter to the front door. As she turned the ‘closed’ sign, she saw Poe heading her way. He looked delicious in jeans and an untucked button down with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. Smiling, she opened the door for him and he slipped in, looking behind him with a furrowed brow.

“What’s wrong?” she asked as she closed the door.

He shook his head. “Zorii was at that party. She saw me park and headed right for me. I guess she thought I was there for the festival.”

“Are you sure she’s not stalking you?” Rey asked.

He rolled his eyes. “I don’t think she really believes I’ve moved on.” He smiled at her, his dark eyes raking her form. “Do you know that in all the time we were together, I never slept with another woman?” He shook his head. “She can’t say the same.”

Rey grinned. “Well, maybe if she knows you’re fucking someone else, she’ll leave you alone.”

Poe sucked in a breath. “Ooh, Rey. I don’t think I’ve ever heard you say that word before.”

Still smiling, Rey stepped into his bubble. “What? Fuck?”

He closed his eyes and groaned. “Damn. Just hearing you say it turns me on.”

“Good,” she whispered, bringing her lips up to his.

Before she could make contact, he grabbed her arm and towed her to the back corner.

Laughing, she asked. “What are you doing?”

“People can see through the window up there,” Poe explained, turning to face her.

“Oh,” Rey breathed. “And what is it exactly you don’t want people to see?”

“This,” he murmured, wrapping his arms around her and dropping his head down to suck on her neck. He grabbed her ass and squeezed, pulling her in to him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and threw her head back, exposing more of her throat for him. He accepted the gift and continued exploring her with his tongue.

Bracing off of his shoulders, Rey brought one of her legs up, hitching her knee over his hip. He responded by immediately bringing one of his legs forward, pressing it up toward her center. She felt herself sink down over his thigh, trying to ride it. He gasped as she slid down, but then grabbed her elbows and gently pulled her back up. When she groaned in complaint, he brought one of his hands down, lifting up her skirt and moving it between her legs.

It was her turn to gasp as his fingers found her center, touching her through her panties. With his lips once more on her neck, he hissed. “You’re so damn wet already.”

“It happens a lot around you,” she confessed.

He laughed softly, and the vibration of it against her throat made her shiver. “So, I shouldn’t be embarrassed to let you know how hard I get around you all the damn time?”

“Really?” she smiled. “I hadn’t noticed.”

He heard her sarcasm and leaned back to look at her. His eyes glared, but then his finger slipped under her panties, teasing her nether lips, and he smirked as she almost collapsed. His other arm tightened around her, holding her steady as he slowly slid his finger inside her. Her eyes rolled back as she groaned.

“Oh, God, Poe,” she moaned, burying her face in the crook of his neck. “Fuck me. Please.”

“Here?” His voice caught in his surprise.

She nodded against his neck, not sure she could speak coherently.

With only a brief hesitation, Poe spun her around him and pushed her gently back against the wall. With hundreds of books on both sides of them, she felt as if they were in a perfect place. She kept her hands on his shoulders as he undid his belt, lowering his jeans just enough to free himself from his underwear. Rey brought her hands down to him as soon as he was free, grasping him gently, one hand pumping him, the other teasing his sensitive sack. He threw his head back, bringing his hands up to brace himself on the wall behind her as she working him until he was fully aroused.

He let her know when he was there. “Now!” he whispered harshly as he pushed her hands away. “Hang on to me,” he told her roughly. She brought her hands back up to his shoulders as he cupped her bottom, lifting her. She wrapped her legs around him and he brought a hand between them, moving her panties aside and bringing his cock up to her entrance, his other hand still firm on her ass. He stopped.

Rey had closed her eyes as she leaned her head back on the wall, but when he stopped, she opened them. He was watching her, a gentle question in his eyes. “Rey?”

“Yes,” she whispered harshly. “Please fuck me.” She moved her hips against him, groaning as she felt the tip of his cock brush her clit. “Now!”

Without any more hesitation, he pushed in.

Rey cried out and dropped her head back down against his shoulder. Positioned as she was, she was a bit taller than him, and she brought one of her hands up to burrow in his thick hair, letting him feel her gratitude as he held still for a moment, waiting for her to adjust. She didn’t need to tell him it had been a long time for her.

After a moment she leaned back again, making eye contact with him. She nodded and smiled. He nodded and smiled back, and oh, what a wicked smile. He began to slide his hips back slowly, then he plunged back into her, shoving her back against the wall. Her breathing quickened as he continued to drive into her. Her arousal was only heightened by the sounds of skin slapping on skin and the almost obscene noises his cock made as it moved in and out of her now soaked pussy.

An almost constant moan began emanating from her, encouraged by his soft and steady voice. “That’s it. Just like that. You’re so fucking tight. I can’t believe I’m finally fucking you. So beautiful. So sexy. God, I can’t believe you’re mine. Oh, baby. Come for me. Please come all over my cock.”

She felt the pressure build unbearably, and her legs tightened around him as she pressed her shoulders into the wall. A sharp cry escaped her as she came hard. The orgasm continued on, making her vision darken as she convulsed, her hands fisting in his shirt. “That’s my girl,” he whispered in her ear.

Slowly, she came back to herself, only to realize he was holding still again. She looked at him, perplexed. “Poe?”

“I need to know how you want me to finish,” he told her, his voice tight.

Smiling, she tightened her legs around him. “Right where you are,” she whispered. She was protected, and she trusted that he was clean.

“Oh, thank God,” he groaned, and immediately his hips started snapping, shoving his cock into her relentlessly, over and over and over again. Rey couldn’t believe it as she felt her body respond once more. Would she ever get enough of this man?

Finally, he found his release, letting out a choked sob as his did so. She felt more tremors run through her as he filled her, then he let his body fall into hers, pinning her against the wall. She wrapped her arms tight around his shoulders, burrowing her nose in the hair above his ear, content to never let him go.

After a long moment, he pushed himself back from her a bit, looking at her with hooded eyes. She licked her lips and swallowed, then brought her hand up to push back sweaty curls from his forehead.

“I don’t want to leave you,” he whispered.

“I don’t want you to leave me,” she responded, but her legs were weakening. She was surprised they were still wrapped around him at all. With a sigh, she let go, and they both groaned as his cock slipped from her. She put her feet on the floor, laughing softly as they trembled and her knees almost gave out. He held her up, smiling at her.

When she met his eyes with her own, he asked, “Did that just really happen?”

She giggled and nodded. “Yeah. It did.”

“I’m not going to wake up and find out this was another dream?”

“Another?” Rey asked, raising her eyebrows in surprise.

“You don’t think I haven’t been dreaming of you and me in this corner for months now?” he asked.

Rey laughed again, but then they both froze as the bells over the door jingled. Rey may have turned the sign, but she hadn’t locked the door! With a panicked expression on both their faces, Rey quickly sidled by Poe, straightening her skirt and finger combing her hair while Poe rushed to tuck himself back into his jeans, keeping his back to the main part of the store.

Rey rounded the corner. “I’m sorry, we’re closed,” she said as she did so, then she stopped suddenly as she saw who had entered.

Zorii Bliss stood there looking at her with an angry and suspicious expression. “I’m sorry to bother you, but I’m looking for Poe.”

A small part of Rey wanted to whither under the woman’s gaze, but then she felt a trickle of moisture slide down her inner thigh. Then even more. Rather than be embarrassed, the feeling emboldened her. “Why?” she asked, crossing her arms in front of her chest.

“That’s none of your business,” The older woman responded, but her eyes showed uncertainty.

“Actually, it is,” Poe said as he came up from behind Rey. He stopped at her shoulder, facing his ex at Rey’s side. “Everything about me is Rey’s business now, Zorii.”

Rey looked at him, and felt a shiver run up her spine. His hair was disheveled and his shirt was a wrinkled disaster. His face was flushed and his eyes unusually bright. He looked exactly like a man who had just fucked the hell out of the woman he loved. Rey looked back at Zorii and she could tell the woman recognized it, too. Zorii visibly swallowed, then nodding, she turned and left.

Rey followed, quickly turning the deadbolt as the door closed. She spun and looked at Poe, giving him a smirk. “Told you.”

Poe laughed, and she knew he was recalling her earlier words about Zorii giving him up once she knew he was fucking another woman. “You looked ready to scratch her eyes out,” Poe smiled.

“It’s amazing how feeling your man’s cum sliding down the inside of thigh makes you territorial,” she smirked.

Poe closed his eyes and groaned. Then he opened them, and Rey was overwhelmed by his expression. “I love you,” he said softly.

Rey felt her heart stutter. She walked up to him. “I love you, too,” she whispered. She placed her hands on his chest. “You want to know something weird?” she asked.

“What?”

“We still haven’t kissed.”

“I can fix that,” he said, leaning in.

And oh, boy, did he.
