Rey doesn’t know how to just rest, but Poe is more than willing to teach her.

Damerey Fic Challenge Week Four: Short Short Challenge. Between 500 and 1000 words.
Prompt: A lazy day in bed
This story takes place the morning after my first Damerey story Rising.
The water shutting off in the ‘fresher woke Poe Dameron the morning after his wedding. His eyes popped open, but his brain was just a tad slower to react. Blinking he looked around the room, this bedroom a bit larger than his previous one in the apartment on top of the Command Center, which only made sense as he wasn’t living alone anymore.
The thought made him smile, and immediately brought back the memory of last night. After finding out Rey was a virgin, he had been determined to wait until the wedding night to bring her to his bed, and not only had it been worth the wait but it had been even better than anything he had imagined. He supposed it could be because he hadn’t had sex in a while, what with the war and his private obsession with their resident Jedi getting in the way, but now that he was married to said Jedi, things were going to be very interesting. It didn’t hurt that his new bride, though inexperienced, was extremely willing to learn everything he could teach her, and then some. He was going to have to work to keep up with Rey, who was far younger than him, superbly fit, and frighteningly flexible.
He stretched in the bed, recalling just how many times they had come together in the night. Twice before they fell asleep, then again after Rey’s vision. She was going to kill him.
At least he would die happy.
He lifted his head as the ‘fresher door opened and his wife stepped out wrapped in nothing but a towel and heading for the dresser. He felt his smile grow as he glimpsed his ring on her finger. She opened a drawer and started pulling out clothes.
“What are you doing?” he asked, frowning.
She turned to look at him, a bright smile on her face. “Good morning,” she said. “Getting dressed, of course.”
“Why?” he asked slowly.
It was her turn to frown. “It’s morning, silly.”
He propped himself up on his elbows. “Yeah, but we have two days of freedom before I have to go back to Naboo,” he told her. “We don’t need to leave this room.”
She turned to face him, her head tilted. “We need to eat.” Food was very important to Rey.
He smiled again. “Covered. All I have to do is comm Rose and she’ll have some food sent over.”
He could see her thinking about his words, then she looked back at him. “What do we do for two days of we don’t leave the room?”
He laughed. “You’ve never just been lazy, have you?” he asked, then laughed again as her eyebrows rose in surprise.
“I could never afford to be lazy, Poe.”
He nodded. “I know, I know,” he told her. “It’s not a common thing for me, either,” he explained. “But we can both afford it now.” He sat up and leaned forward, looking at her intently. “Two days with no commitments, no obligations, no worries. Doesn’t that sound wonderful?”
She sighed and bit her lip. “But what do we do?” she asked again, then she blushed prettily. “I mean, other than…”
He grinned. “Well, we didn’t get nearly enough sleep last night, so we can nap.” He cocked his head at her. “We can watch holovids, play games, just talk. Lots of things. We don’t even need to leave this bed except for the necessities.”
A soft smile began to form on her lips. “Do any of these lazy activities require clothing?”
He licked his lips, holding back more laughter. “Nope.”
Without another word, she dropped the towel and walked toward him. He reached out a hand and she took it. He pulled her back under the covers with him, and she snuggled against his side, their arms wrapped around each other. She whispered, “I think I could get used to being lazy with you, Dameron.”
“Good,” he whispered back. “Because this isn’t going to be the last time we do this. As busy as our lives are, we are going to make time for days like this in the future. I promise.”
“I look forward to it.”
