Poe made her dinner.
He told her weeks ago that he wanted to make her dinner one night as a special treat. Word had it that he was a good cook.
But she had watched as he nervously prepared the meal, burned it, then apologized over and over again as they ate. Rey didn’t care that it was a little crispy; it was still delicious to her. Then again, she wasn’t picky.
He told her dessert would make up for it, and the loloberry sweetcake he served after the meal was divine.
As were his loloberry flavored kisses that night.
